SUMMARY:GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP
DESCRIPTION:The GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP is a nationwide cleanup initiative led by Keep America Beautiful. This cleanup event has taken place across the country for the past 39 years throughout the months of March\, April and May annually. \nThe first 1\,500 volunteers\, who pre-register will receive a FREE T-Shirt and ticket to Bok Tower Gardens (while supplies are available).  \nCleanup volunteers are provided with garbage bags (buckets if available)\, gloves and safety vests. Additional cleanup and beautification supplies are available by request.  All beautification requests must be submitted in writing to the KPCB office no later than 3 weeks BEFORE your requested cleanup date to be considered. \nDumpsters are available to communities in need for large community based cleanup efforts and illegal dumpsite cleanup.  For approval\, please submit your request in writing 30 days before proposed cleanup.  (Dumpsters are limited and each request will be considered based on community need and projected participation) \nThis is a great opportunity for students to earn community service hours! Volunteers are encouraged to choose a location in their local community to help clean and beautify.  Lakes\, roadways\, rivers and parks are great locations for volunteers to participate in the Great American Cleanup. SUMMARY:CIU2GIU Cleanup Event - Unincorporated Davenport & Loughman
DESCRIPTION:This Cleanup Program will consist of a large scale trash pick up throughout the community (clean sweep).  Unincorporated areas only– NO CITY RESIDENTS.  All households are asked to participate by placing their trash by the curb no later than 6 am for this one day event.  Please do not place your trash out more than 48 hours prior to this event.  This program will provide disposal of  items that are NOT generally collected with their residential garbage such as remodeling & household construction debris (shingles\, drywall\, wood\, fencing\, cabinets\, excessive bulk waste\, logs\, etc.) on THIS DAY ONLY.  Absolutely NO tires or hazardous waste will be collected curbside. \nTo confirm your address and for more information\, contact Keep Polk County Beautiful\, Inc. at (863)875-8911. \nTrash collection services have been graciously Donated by GFL Environmental. \n

SUMMARY:Tire Collection Event - Eagle Ridge Mall
DESCRIPTION:Keep Polk County Beautiful\, Inc. in partnership with Polk County Government will be hosting a FREE Tire Collection and Recycling event from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.(noon) on Saturday\, March 8\, 2025 at Eagle Ridge Mall\, 451 Eagle Ridge Dr.\, Lake Wales (enter from Chalet Suzanne Rd.). Polk County residents and agricultural land owners may dispose of up to 24 tires per vehicle.   Standard vehicle sized tires only – No semi\, tractor or off-road tires.  Absolutely NO TIRE BUSINESSES\, INDEPENDENT or COMMERCIAL TRUCKING COMPANIES or AUTOMOTIVE BUSINESSES of ANY kind will be permitted.
