Cost/Fees

At landfill:

$37.95/ton


Yard trash includes lawn cuttings, tree trimming, leaves and other green waste. It should be properly bundled or containerized with limbs not exceeding 5 ft in length or 5 in. in diameter. Pressure treated lumber and aquatic vegetation are not yard waste. No charge at curbside

At landfill:

$22.00/ton


Large, Bulky Items (accepted at all landfills) No charge at curbside. Give 72 hours notice to your designated garbage company.

There are solid waste items the garbage companies will not pick up. These include waste from tree removal, land clearing, construction, cars, boats, tires, automobile parts, engines, asbestos, radioactive material, explosives, biomedical wastes, and hazardous waste.

Tires from automobiles, lawn equipment, bicycles, and machinery. North Central Landfill will only accept up to 10 tires per visit.

Construction debris comes from construction, destruction, renovation, or remodeling. Steel, glass, brink, concrete, asphalt, pipe, gypsum wallboard, lumber, wood pallets, fences, non-water soluble material, non-hazardous materials. Not accepted at curbside.

Asbestos material includes bagged asbestos, tiles, roofing shingles, and pipe. Must give 24 hour advance notice (863-284-4319)

Hazardous waste include oil paint, latex paint, paint thinners, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, used motor oil, antifreeze, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, flammable materials, fluorescent light bulbs, mercury (thermometers and thermostats), aerosol cans, and propane cylinders. NO BUSINESS HAZERDOUS MATERIAL ACCEPTED!

Free disposal to county residents


Prohibited items include: waste- radioactive material, biomedical waste, infectious waste, commercial quantities of septic sewage sludge, smoldering or burning material, ammunition, or explosives.
